Each year, the traditionell Glass manufactory CIAV releases a new Christmas ball. This year, our christmas ball "Kaktus", addresses the current critical climate situation and is intended not only to serve a decorative purpose but also to inspire reflection.

The third size of the Hama table has now been launched at Orgatec in the Designpost. The whole Hama collection is available at Echtstahl.

Come along to the Impulse salon event and discover our Treble bar stool for Nothern alongside many other great designs and interesting talks.

Our Hama chair and table is now part of the wonderful Clay-Schule in Berlin-Neukölln, designed by Staab Architekten.

Mono V designed for Mono wins Gold. Thanks to the German Design Award Jury for selecting our work – such an honor!

2023 started good for us presenting new collaborations and products at our moodspace designed for Domotex 2023.

Especially the cyanotype curtain edition we´ve realized as a studio edition in collaoration with Kvadrat, but also the new side tables realized with Alpi Veneer challanged us in the best way.

A new member of the Polar measurement instruments series designed for Fischer has just been launched. We love this complexity of the dial showing in detail the interaction of temperature and humidity.

Exciting news: Mono dropped the release of mono V – the brand new flatware concept we´ve developped for them. The first completely new flatware design in over 20 years. We are very proud to have had the honor of being part in this collaboration.

We are happy to finally share that our Metro neomatik 41 Update is the winner of the Lifestyle & Travel category of the European Product Design Award 2021.

Time for a break! We'll be enjoying summer for now but are back at the studio by August 15th.

We are excited and happy to announce that our design for the Nomos Neomatik 41 Update has been honored with the Good Design Award for its form, aesthetic and function from the Chicago Athenaeum jury.

Next to other outstanding products, the Neomatik 41 Update will be displayed at the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies in Athens from June 15th till July 7th.

After one year of developing, our first jewellery series for Spanish brand Suarez is launched now. The companies high knowledge and tradition in processing gemstones became a major inspiration to celebrate the beauty of topaz in its various shades of blue. Beyond that, also the architecture of the Bauhaus in Dessau played a role in our design process.

A new product designed by us is finally launched: In collaboration with the venerable Glas Manufaktur J. & L. Lobmeyr and Monkey 47 we developed a characteristic Gin Tumbler. Together with AESD, we launched a medical device for healthcare professionals, which enables rapid testing and analysis. While its scope of application is extensive, its shape remains simple and pure. Made of anodized aluminium, it'll be available in three colours: orange, black and silver.

Hooked by the beautiful shape of traditional counterbore tools and their masterly performance Hexagon is a collection of a brush, a razor, a stand for the latter, a soap dish and last but not least a mirror. The set combines a modern-minimal yet classy style and high shaving precision. It shouldn't be missing in first-class hotel's much asked for barbershops.

Thonet m01 table stand wins German Design Award 2016 – we are more than happy! Thanks to all partners for this successful collaboration.

There are many table stands, the Thonet m01 being one of the few that is height-adjustable. But even in form this furniture is fun, because in an ironic way it quotes the concept of a classic bicycle frame with handle and saddle bars. Just like for a bike, both can simply be pulled out and adjusted to the desired height with a quick-release lever. A beautiful, consistently implemented idea that despite its figurative impression is extremely functional.

Metro Neomatik

The exhibition Berlin x Tokyo has been a great success including JOIN and TURN... it was good to be part of it – thanks to Ryo and its team.

Berlin X Tokyo was a two-day event on Roppongi Hills’ 52nd Floor with an exceptional view of Tokyo Metropolis. The show provided a tribute to Berlin-Tokyo sisterhood presenting up-to-date art work, design products, fashion, and more.

iF Design Award for Metro
All good things come in threes: With the iF Product Design Award, Metro, designed for NOMOS Glashütte, has received its third prize for outstanding design.

Metro wins Good Design Award 2014
Metro, designed for NOMOS Glashütte which has just recently received the German Design Award, has now been awarded with the GOOD Design Award 2014 as well—the most prestigious prize for product design worldwide, founded in 1950 by Charles and Ray Eames among others, and presented by the Chicago Athenaeum every year.

Mark Braun and friends at i31 Hotel
Boutique Hotel i31 and DMY Berlin asked me to decorate a room as a special award for one lucky Berlin Design Week visitor. Therefor I've chosen my favorite projects, such as Turn for e15, Fortune for Lobmeyr and bottle and glass I've designed for Stählemühle as well as a sofa for La Redoute.
And in addition I'm happy to decorate two of my favorite light projects designed by Uli Budde and Daniel Lorch.

Italian brand Covo took my nesting tables SML
into production and will be on show at Salone
Del Mobile in Milan next week, which is great!

SML – Nesting tables
SML are three side tables in small, medium and
large size, made in powder coated steel. Due
to table tops in punched metal sheet you do have
wonderful moiré effects by nesting these tables
partly or completely on top of each other. The
SML version in white works best on dark carpets
and wooden floorings.

J. & L. Lobmeyr will present its Stählemühle glass which I've designed in collaboration with the
well known distiller Christoph Keller at the Austrian Showcase – Confession of Design in Milan.

Stählemühle. Glass for fine fruit brandies

Together, designer Mark Braun and master
distiller Christoph Keller from the Stählemühle fruit distillery have developed a glass for the enjoyment of fine fruit brandies, herb schnapps, cognacs, and all barrelaged spirits. Delicate, mouth-blown muslin glass creates an incomparably tantalizing contact between lips and drink.
One’s hand wraps around the corpus – its shape abstracted from a distilling flask – warming the spirits to the perfect temperature. Escaping aromas stream up through the gently bowed chimney of the glass and are taken up by the nose in full stream before the first sip glides out from the elegant throat of the goblet.
